THE ANIMALS

The photos you already see on this website are a selection of the animals we have. This page is still under development, but we soon hope to be able to show you more photos and tell you the individual stories of a selection of the animals we have available for adoption.

The Animal Sanctuary provides a temporary home for cats, rabbits, ferrets and other small animals and birds which have been brought to us for a variety of reasons. All desperately need good homes which will allow them to regain confidence and recover from whatever trauma has brought them to us. Please contact the sanctuary for details or to see some of the animals we have for re-homing have a look on our Adopting Animals page.

Our residents

For various reasons we are not able to rehome some of the animals. These are given a permanent home with us and can be seen around the Sanctuary enjoying a safe and secure life. The donkeys are popular with our visitors, especially Rocket who has recently retired from helping with our fundraising, and Molly the Shetland pony and Erica the pig who have become good friends and recently appeared in the local press. The rescued cockerels and hens can be seen pecking and scratching around the site, and the horses and ponies enjoy the freedom, care and attention they deserve. Two ponies who were recently brought to us by the RSPCA in a terrible condition are now slowly gaining condition and confidence in our care.

You can read some of these stories in our Newsletters.
