Queenie with our friends in Blackpool who rescued her

Many horses, ponies and donkeys have been rescued during the year and I am deeply indebted to all supporters and the staff for the excellent cooperation received in connection with the rescue of these animals and all of our humane activities.

Several supporters in Blackpool contacted us with regard to the rescue of ‘Queenie’, a rag and bone pony in that town.

This we readily agreed to do and I must state at the outset that our good friends who sought our help also reimbursed the Society for the financial outlay involved in the purchase of this animal. ‘Queenie’ is now enjoying herself in comparative retirement at the Humane Education Society.

Here is a picture of ‘Queenie’ along with her Blackpool friends who were instrumental in raising the money and soliciting our co-operation in the purchase of dear old ‘Queenie’.
