Will Week Monday 15th April to Friday 19th April 2013
Making a Will is essential if you want to be sure of leaving your property and possessions to your loved ones. If you die without a Will, the Rules of Intestacy decide who will receive your property and possessions. The rules were created back in 1925 so they don’t properly reflect today’s families and modern living arrangements. Legacies provide vital income for the Animal Sanctuary, Wilmslow and allow us to plan for the future. You may decide to leave a Legacy to the Sanctuary during our Will Week. Please advise a solicitor if this is something you would like to do. If you live outside of South Manchester and would still like to draw up your Will during Will Week, if you approach your local solicitor and explain about the Sanctuary’s Will Week, he may be prepared to donate his fee to the charity.
During the Animal Sanctuary’s Will Week (Monday 15th April to Friday 19th April 2013), seven solicitors from the South Manchester area have kindly agreed to give up their time and provide a free standard Will writing and updating service for supporters of the Sanctuary.
Our supporting solicitors are making this service available on the understanding that you will consider making a donation to the Sanctuary. The recommended minimum donation is £85 for writing a single will, £135 for joint mirror wills, and £40 for a codicil.

Become a Friend
The Animal Sanctuary at Newgate, Wilmslow offers a safe haven for unwanted animals. With your help this dedicated facility can stay open and remain something our local area can be proud of.
The annual maintenance costs threaten to overwhelm the resources of the Sanctuary and a small, regular contribution would make a huge difference. We urgently need your help to keep the future of the animals secure.
By becoming a friend you will be helping to keep this important, local facility running. Friends also receive up-to-date newsletters showing the work being done at the sanctuary. Please download our information and application leaflet for more details.
Sponsor an Animal
We have now set up a scheme so that supporters can sponsor their favourite permanent resident at the sanctuary. Sponsorship lasts for a year and you will be sent a welcome pack and receive news about your chosen animal. It would make an ideal present for an animal lover!
Contact the Sanctuary either by phone (01625 520802) or email us and we will give you all the details.
Corporate Sponsorship
Company participation is vital to our future. Your contribution will go directly to helping the Society strengthen its resources in the care of these animals and will help us to encourage the teaching of humane principles to children and others in the wider society.
We intend to lift the profile of the Sanctuary in the public eye, and as a Corporate Member we will be pleased to give your company exposure on our publicity materials. In addition, you are welcome to encourage your staff to participate in team building days and other events at the sanctuary.
You are invited to participate by joining us as a Corporate Member. Please contact us for more information. With your help this dedicated facility can stay open.
